Hello, and welcome to my website! My name is Melissa Theurich and I am a Public Health Nutritionist, researcher and writer with a passion for improving health and nutrition for women, infants and children, globally.

I've been working in various capacities over the past 10 years to improve maternal and child health, particularly through ending malnutrition. I have worked with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), EPOS Health Consulting, the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich, the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) in the United States, and have contributed works in academic journals, curricula, and in international forums as an independent researcher and public health expert.

My strengths are in creative facilitation and  development of nutrition programmes, acquisition of funds from international donors for the roll-out of national and multi-country initatives, critical assessment and review, project evaluation, country landscape analysis and human capacity building for local and international stakeholders.

If you are interested in improving nutrition for women, infants and children and have a good idea for collaborative action, I hope you will reach out. Whether you are a researcher, donor, stakeholder working in public health nutrition, or an interested student, be sure to check out my current projects by clicking on the Peer-reviewed Publications tab. I look forward to hearing from you on opportunities for collaboration for on-going and future projects.

Connecting my clients with the right people and the right means to enable sustainable and creative solutions for enhanced resilience to nutrition challenges in global communities.
